Thrift Store Finds

Here's a selection of some of my latest thrift store finds (late July/early Aug. 2010),a McGraw Edison Unidor 250W mercury vapour from around 1975,the first cobra head I've seen at a thrift store,an EYE Hortilux 1000W HPS grow lamp,here are just a few of the assorted bulbs,2 Envirolite T5 electronic strips.

Wow an unidor 250 in a thrift store? Great find! The last time i saw a cobrahead in a thrift store was in '84. It was a merc M250A.

Shocked Whoa you found a Unidor 250 in a thrift store, very nice Darren!

I've never seen a cobra before in a thrift store, the closest I've seen was a highbay.

The Sylvania lamp in it looks original with a date code of 54.

The only place in Pittsburgh PA that has streetlights for sale occasionally is Construction Junction, they're a surplus used hardware store.

Those EYE Hortilux 1000w lamps are around $100 at my local garden supply store (and they refuse to give me used ones). You would NEVER find those in a thrift store in Seattle. Even on Craigslist, you won't see them USED for less than $35. Even the T5 fixture is pricey, not to mention the Unidor (wow!)

Awesome!!!!
All the big thrift stores with "cool stuff" in my area have closed down. Only a few small ones left with mostly clothes.
