Looks very cool!!! but what is the purpose of a clear refractor like this? Wouldn't a flat FCO lense distribute light the same?

This serves the same purpose as a sag glass lens but this is plastic. It's basically a cross between FCO and drop lens. When you said you shared a box of them Darren i thought you mean you shared a box of M-250A2s lol.

Oh yeah i think i remember seeing them on ebay... The seller wouldn't sell just one or two to me so i passed. I don't have any FCO fixtures anyways...

Yea I put one in my M-250A2 also I like it, I haven't put one in my M-250R2 yet. I bet that would look cool.

These are all over the harbor/marina system in Sitka, AK in 100w HPS GE M-250s...I like seeing the lamp inside personally.
