Those are actually bright! I have them in my fan!

Yep very bright. I have three in the fan in my bedroom. These could actually pass off as 60W replacements IMO. They're very directional like a floodlight though and don't light the ceiling much.

not as if a ceiling needs to be lit much Razz

I actually haven't seen these yet at Lowe's but if the lumen ratings are right then they do look pretty bright. Razz

@ Aarom; true, but it doesn't light my posters on the top half of the wall that great either. It's also extrememly bright to look at when laying in bed. No big deal though since I usually shut off the light before going to sleep. Laughing

@ Joe; the lumens appear way off. A 60W lamp is about 750-850 lumens and this is rated at 450 lumens but seems as bright as a 60W lamp. What I was afraid of when i bought these was that the output would crash way down after a few months but nope! They look about as bright as they did when i first installed them. I'll ask for a HD giftcard at Christmas and I'll try out the Philips LEDs. Cool

I believe these are made by Panasonic.

Interesting, I want to try one but I don't think the Lowe's here sells them so I guess I'll have to wait till I get a chance to go south to get one. Razz
