New stuff from the recycling centre!
These were buried under dozens of non-working CFLs. I also grabbed over 10 CFLs that were repairable, 6 of them are now working!

First, an Enertron 3700 PL adapter, still works like a charm!

I got two of the big round adapters. They came with the SLI /841 PL pictured (+ another one not pictured). The GE Biax F13BX/SPX41 at left works good, but it flickers a little bit, typical of PLs though.

Finally, the GE daylight CFL works too! I was close from getting a 10W version repaired, but I broke the tube when I assembled back the CFL... : /

Maybe I need to check the recycling bin a bit more carefully at my local lamp recycling station (they don't allow taking lamps, but the little CFLs are easy to snatch). I have grabbed adapters before, but they were LOA ones and dead of course. PL adapters usually far outlast their lamps but people often get rid of the entire assembly.

I went to my great-aunt's house for Independence day (USA) and I changed some old 35w GE F40T12 tubes in the garage with NOS Sylvanias from the mid 70's that were in her basement. (The house was owned by my great-grandmother and great-grandfather, but my greatgrandfather passed away 11 years ago and my greatgrandmother is in an assisted living home nearby.) Now my great-aunt lives there. My Greatgrandfather was a carpenter and had a work bench in the garage with a GE two lamp F90T17 workbench light. He had F20T12 preheats in the basement, which are still there. My great-aunt said i could have the F90T17, but I said I'd have to think about it because It's a very big and heavy fixture and I don't have much more room. I did get two of the PL adapters found in the top left of the pic above by Enertron as well and came complete with Sylvania GTE F13DTT/27K lamps, made in USA. Anyone know the approx. time these adapters were made?
