A shield? Unusual!
This pole used to hold a Sylvania R47 in 150W HPS. Even after bringing it down to 100W, it seems the neighbors were still complaining. So they just screwed a piece of plastic on the front xD.

I've seen this occasionally here too where a traffic light hood is used as a shield.

What the hell? A traffic signal visor?! Shocked Razz Laughing

I've seen MTO use similar shields, apparently they have custom shaped shields similar to a traffic light visor on some of their highmasts.

Interesting... NGrid doesn't install shields. If someone complains about the brightness they'll normally switch out the refractor for a flat glass panel or do nothing at all.

I've seen shields on FCO lights here. And there's always the popular "ghetto" glare shield: Spray paint part of the refractor black.
