AE 325
For the past month I have been noticing AE 325 with 250 watt HPS being used as some newer installations (like the traffic light intersections) and some replacements that had replaced the smaller cramped 250 watt fixtures.

Hopefully MD State or SHA has decided to start using more power door fixtures and use bigger fixtures for 250 watt HPS, this will really make the lamp life longer, and using powerdoors can save you money and better for environment!

That's good, hopefully the utility here starts using more medium fixtures, they tend to alternate between small and medium fixtures for 250w HPS.

Powerdoors are also a good idea but my area rarely uses them anymore

Hopefully we have more medium fixtures for 250 watts.....it's not the first time I see them....from time to time I see them come and go.....but I hope they do more....

Same here. If a light burns out, it will most likely be replaced with an M-250 R2 250w HPS with Xcel energy. Next in line but less common are 115s with 250w HPS. For 400w HPS they use M-400 R3's FCO mostly.. Second in line but less common are 125s.. The AE's are most likely ordered from Graybar. What is funny is my 115 I got from Graybar and the 125 I found on the ground cracked have manufactured dates and they are only TWO days away from each other. So that 125 was most likely ordered from Graybar and put up on the road.

my utility installed them back in the 80's but not anymore. Powr/doors are nice, but my utility doesn't replace the doors when the ballasts die. Rolling Eyes

The door looks the same thickness as the 125, the M-400 R3/A3 has a much thicker dropdown on the door. I wonder why though.

So we could tell them apart easier. Laughing Razz

The M-400's top housing is to small to hold everything so they made the door larger.
