Lightbulbs found at the Apple Store!
Here are the light bulbs you can control with your iPod / iPhone! Those were found in my local Apple store! You must buy the starter kit (which includes three lightbulbs and the other stuff required....) then the smaller boxes are single lightbulbs of you wanted more of those!

Neat! I'll have to check our local store out and see if these are there.

Tony didn't you say you use LEDs throughout your house? BTW guys I read a report that by 2018 LEDs are poised to become the standard in residential lighting, no more incandescents, CFLs and halogens. Imagine going in Home Depot and finding nothing but LEDs except maybe a few specialty incs such as heatlamps, appliance bulbs, and of course linear fluorescent and HID will still be sold.

Yeah that's cool!
Glad i have many CFLs and some incandescent/Halogen lamps

Interesting, I wonder if mine sells them too. Anyways I'm sure there's still enought people who will still prefer inc/halogen over LED for stores to sell them.

It will depend on the cost of the LEDs and the public approval of them. One reason they are predicted to take over is because electricity prices are expected to go up significantly over the next several years. LEDs are also expected to cost less than $10 by then and eventually bottom out at around $2 apiece.

The left I thin is 159 or 199 bucks....the ones on right is 59 bucks each

@ Dave, the majority of my house is lamped with those Philips ambient led lamps. They are the best comparison to incandescent and have a nice warm look to them. The only fixtures where I have CFLs are my kitchen celing fan which have intermediate base sockets and can't find a good led lamp and the wall pack mounted on my house which luminates my driveway.

Leds really don't justify full out replacement for CFL, even linear fluorescent is more efficient then led Smile

What are these lamps supposed to do? Like do you control them with an iPod or iPhone? xD That would be cool in a way. I guess this is just another way for Apple to sell more of their devices. xD

It actually changes colors, complete in control man! And those are made by Philips. It even can do 2700K and all the way to 6500K from what I saw on the package!

Shocked Interesting, I guess you could set them to imitate MV then?
