I See Somethings I Want!
I was on a train ride earlier today and look at what I found, two GE PF1000s! Dumped in a heap behind a building, I am thinking about trying to get these, they are in an open lot and I could just go back there and take them but I want to get permission first.

Yeah they look like they need some saving.

I guess you're pretty strogn then. If these are 1000w MV, they'll feel like ship anchors. I want the smaller version to this flood.

Even modern 1kW ballasts are pretty heavy mine is around 30 lbs and you should have seen the face on the cashier who checked me out wondering what was so heavy inside that box. Laughing

My M-400 is just over 40 pounds. In the huge box, it was close to 50. I had to slide the box down the stairs since I couldn't carry it. Then I dragged the box to the couch and it sat there for a month and a half while I trained myself to lift it and hold it for over 5 minutes. I was eleven when I got my M-400. The thing was super heavy to me then. Imagine if it was a M-1000 in the box instead! Shocked That's one of the reasons why I don't really want one in my collection. I'm more of a small sized cobrahead guy. I like the M-250R, M-250A, OVC, OVM, OVS, M-250A2, 13, 113, and OV-15, although the GE lumes have always been my favorite

Wonder if that disposacan still has R12 in it? Would love that welder as well.

I think the heaviest light I have is my sportslighter, followed by my B2255s, after that is likely my OV-25 and 400 watt MH flood. I'm would guess these to be around 60-70 lbs,, that's my guess, they don't seem to have the lenses so that would reduce the weight a bit. The hardest part of moving the lights is getting them into my basement, they have to come down the stairs and then go through a doorway directly at the bottom, that is the hardest part. @ Sean you can come here and get the welder if you want, of maybe I could mail it to you, either way it would cost a lot. Laughing

I've taken these off a pole before, they are very heavy! Shocked

My heaviest light is my B2255 after that probably my CGE ped signal and my CGE 8-8-8 signal. After that is probably my R47.

B2255s are pretty heavy since they are pretty large for a medium fixture and can also handle 1kW lamps.

@Gailgrove I will pass on that - hard enough to get me on a plane, wonder what the TSA will think about a half tom of steel as a carry on as well.

I'm sure Niall was just kidding. Razz Laughing
