Inside the Thomas and Betts Post-top.
Very dirty inside. I plan to clean this up and restore it to as-good-as-new.

This didn't come with a photocell socket and the ballast looks in good shape, I tested it and it works nicely!

This needs a nice clean-out. Lots of dirt, sticks, and sticky-things in it. So gross!

Nice find! 100w MV is pretty good for a inside, not too bright and not too dim.

Uhhh, I hope you fixed the nuetral for the socket before you powered this....

Yeah, the neutral needs fixing!
streetlight98   [Dec 17, 2011 at 01:14 AM]
Hope you have electrical tape to fix it until you can do a more permanet fix like replace the wire or use heat shrink tubes

Usually if I could replace the wire, I would but for stuff where the wire in permanently affixed like on a ballast I use heat shrink tube...sometimes even two layers.

If it's fixed onto the ballast I'd most likely put electrical tape over it. One thing I don't do is go out of my way to get an extra part such as a wire clamp or heat shrink tubing. And that's not neccesarily a good or bad thing...

I buy most of my stuff in advance so I don't have to go out and get something like a connector or a piece of shrink tube in the middle of a project.

Come to think of it I need to restock on some shrink tube and crimp connectors...

Hey Ian, can you get a pic of this lit up?
