H38 HPS lamp?? Is that the Chinese code for a 70w lamp?
GullWhiz   [Dec 12, 2011 at 09:31 PM]
Nope...it's acutally a MV code! Oh boy....this is what you get for having Chinese people create stuff for you! Nice catching that flaw!
gramirez2012   [Dec 12, 2011 at 10:15 PM]
H38 is for 100w MV, which can come in medium base. That could cause some confusion. Shocked

Yep. I told him to look closely at the label when he got it. Smile I honestly didn't even notice until I was packageing it. Embarrassed Laughing

Simple a H38 HPS lamp is a retrofit lamp for 100w merc ballasts. Laughing Laughing Laughing

Yeah that typo was the first thing I looked for when I got the light, I decided not to say anything and see how long it took for people to clue in. Laughing
streetlight98   [Dec 13, 2011 at 09:33 PM]
Laughing i also see you added a conduit "neck" where the cord is. I don't really bother with those for lights in my collection.

I noticed the typo on my light like this one right when I got it. xD In the car. ANd yep, Chinese Junk gets those typos. Also Chinese Junk like this gets sold for 5 bucks. xD
gailgrove   [Apr 04, 2012 at 05:39 PM]
I wouldn't go as far as to call this "junk", its actually fairly well built.
streetlight98   [Apr 04, 2012 at 08:48 PM]
I didn't even notice the typo until I was boxing this for Niall. Laughing And yeah this thing is pretty well built for residential grade lighting. Same goes for the Utilitech 70w PSMH light I have on the deck. The refractor unfourtunatly cracked when i was working on it (wirenut came loose). These things sold origionally for over $50. Shocked
