Hmm any tags inside the lume?
gailgrove   [Oct 09, 2011 at 02:44 AM]
I haven't opened it yet.

No? That's one of the first things I do. Razz

It's not like a cobra where you can just open a door, you have to remove about 6 screws to access the ballast.

Interesting.
INFRANOR was a brand of Mazda Lighting, here in France in the sixties.

6 screws?!?! That's crazy. Shocked
gailgrove   [Oct 09, 2011 at 09:25 PM]
Well they want the ballast to be protected, the lamp requires just four latches to be released to access it though.
streetlight98   [Oct 09, 2011 at 09:30 PM]
how come you can't get to the ballast by opening up the lamp door? Four latches is quite a bit too, but it's better to be safe than sorry. Smile

Probably because how the fixture was designed, the ballast is in a separate compartment from the lamp.
gailgrove   [Oct 09, 2011 at 10:09 PM]
Yep, I think it is a good design!
streetlight98   [Oct 10, 2011 at 02:22 AM]
I agree. Keeping the lamp and ballast separete keeps ballast wear down.
joe_347V   [Oct 10, 2011 at 02:53 AM]
That's why remote ballasts last so long. Razz
streetlight98   [Oct 10, 2011 at 03:01 AM]
yep. Very Happy
