WOW! Nice job!

Wow!! Looks brand new. The refractor needs some rinsing though. I am assuming this light is incandescent or mercury vapor, right?
gailgrove   [May 12, 2011 at 09:17 PM]
Thanks, I wasn't actually responsible for this but it was some other members, this one is incandescent, the refractor is plastic so its actually yellowed.
streetlight98   [May 12, 2011 at 09:48 PM]
Do they actually use it for security lighting or is it more as a display?
gailgrove   [May 12, 2011 at 09:59 PM]
Its only used when we have night events or are working at night, its only manually switched.

You went to the USA? Or did it get transferred to Canada? I know theres a lot of those in white color with Formed Plastics plastic refractors if they get replaced.....the originals were glass...

Yes this one was brought here from Detroit, I was actually in Detroit two summers ago.
GullWhiz   [May 13, 2011 at 03:53 PM]
WOW! Seriously WOW!

I thought so too, notice the the pole base is cast iron but the pole (with the steps) is actually wood which then connects to the cast iron top. Shocked

Still love it! PERIOD! Where is it located?!
gailgrove   [May 13, 2011 at 04:03 PM]
This is also at the museum with the lights in storage (in fact they are in the building in the background) Here is our website.

Very nice! What kind of bulb is inside?
gailgrove   [May 14, 2011 at 06:34 PM]
Its an incandescent, that's all I know. I would guess the lamp is in the 300 - 500 watt range, I should of turned this on for the picture come to think of it Razz

It wasn't me Devonte, but the people that did it did a very good job, I did want to help though.

Update: I found one of these lights in Streetview here.
