LOL that's awesome! I think the arms should have been shorter though. That way the light doesn't "pull" on the pole as much (the longer arm makes the light heavier in reference to the pole). that's why i had to put the shorter arm on the pole in my backyard since the 4ft arm made the lights too heavy. Plus with such a short pole the long arm makes the set up look a little bit out of proportion. I think at that mounting height a smaller sized fixture would have probably been sufficient too lol.

I guess they get enough light in that plaza. I have seen a 8' arm on a small steel pole here and it was tipsy

I guess this is why around here (Brampton, Canada) on a road lined with 10' arms on 35'+ poles, they always use 8' arms on poles for holding signals

Yeah the longer the arm is the bigger the concrete foundation (if it's an anchor base pole) and the thicker the pole has to be. Here out signals are on like 20-30ft masts but the poles are thicker than a utility pole and the foundations are about 2ft X 2ft compared to the 1ft X 1ft founation that a street light pole here uses.

Bet you could easily service that off a 12FT ladder. Thats how low some walgreens shoeboxes are (175W MH) and I get them off an A frame ladder

I know of a B2213 with a similar setup. Really makes the B2213 look huge. Shocked

Shocked Geeze it looke like that pole got sunken into the ground. Shocked

Yeah, looks like a giant took a hammer and drove the rest of the pole in. Laughing

[Brings ladder] "uh.. uh.. aw s*** the ladder's a couple inches too short! Son-of-a-gun!" [goes to local home improvememt sore and buys a few garening bricks to raise up the ladder] Laughing

streetlight98   [Feb 02, 2014 at 04:09 PM]
LOL

[says from 21 feet up in the air:] "wait, the light's all the way down there...!"

[parks a pick-up under the light with an old mattress in the bed and unbolts the pole, cuts the wires, removes light, zipties an IUO to the end of the mast arm, and reinstalls the pole. drives away recklessly] Laughing
