Cooper (Crouse Hinds) OVM fitted with M-400 R2 400 watt HPS ballast.
I took the MH ballast out of this and put it back in the ballast box, and fitted this ballast in instead.

Used only one wirenut and used some wires from various fixtures, and used the plug-in thing from my Busted-now M-400 A1 FCO.

ONE wirenut, that's it.

How do you think this looks? And I fixed the socket too, this has a new socket.

The Capacitor and Starter should both be on the same side of the fixture.

Why is that?

You have a link to any service bulletins/code reference/literature that says this, I've never heard of this requirement before.

I don't think there is one, because Different fixtures have them on different sides sometimes. The M-400 R2s are that way, my OVZ, OVH. Have them on opposite sides.

My own OVM was set up this way when I first got it. I basicallly kept it as original as possible.

My OVX has them on the same side as well. I guess OVS's would be the same way.

But this OVM can't be that original if it has a GE ballast. xD The original Capacitor on this OVM WAS GE so that isn't really a problem. xD
