Hubbell Lighting - BSS-100HS-1-LAB
|
My first MH fixture. Thanks to whoever traded with me. I forgot who is it though... How do they relamp these? Taking the lids off is easy but putting them back on is a PITA. The tabs the steel lid goes on are slightly bent. Had to unbend them to get the bolt holes lined up. Aluminium lid is easier to mount.
I use this to light up my room whenever I need more light than the single bare CFL can supply. That bare CFL is temporary as the room is gonna get painted before I decide on either a circline fixture or a trio of E-26 lamps fixture.
Made in 1985 according to the reactor ballast and the multi-tap 240v transformer. The transformer have the usual quad voltage input wires. Only the ballast is 240v input. Pretty neat if you ask me!

Yes I gave him this, I was given 5 of those.....I only have "2" of them now...one being original state and other being modified to be smaller (shorter) And he is right it is from 1985.....3 or 4 of them had the original ballast while the others had a replacement...it has a easy to replace ballast kit.....the whole socket, ballast reflector assembly has to be removed and you gotta slide a new assembly in.....keeping the base...and the top...however I had 2 of them that had a newer top...which was black instead of brown...
What's ironic...is the same day he gave me this fixture Stonco, we actually saw 2 more of those Stonco Halogen Floods....on the side of the building...one was missing the glass...LOL
To comment on this upload in an "a propos" fashion, may I opine that the specimen you show here, Felipe, is indeed rather pulchritudinous.
