ITT Model 25 FCO inside.

Man that ballast is HUGE! For just 250 watts High Pressure Sodium 120 volt??
This was avter I did a hefty vaccum of the inside, it was COVERED in dirt! At least most of it is cleaner now, BUT, dirt still wants to fall out of the gasket.
There seems to be two ignitors in here just like the other one. If both of them work I can use the extra ignitor for my 125 400w HPS ballast that lacked a working ignitor!
The old ignitor mounted on the fixture is branded "ITT" While the ignitor not mounted anywhere (just hanging loose) but connected in the circuit is branded "AEL" so I guess that ignitor was replaced during service.
The lamp was bought at the Habitat for Humanity ReStore, (a different one, not the one I got that florescent fixture) for only TWO BUCKS! Woah. Two dollars for a 250w HPS lamp? That looks brand new? o.o

And if you look at my other picture you will see it with the door closed.
If this is to ever fail, I probably will replace this with my 400 watt 125 HPS ballast. Even so, I now have an ignitor FOR the 125 ballast! Thank you Xcel energy for putting a second ignitor in this while the first one still worked! 8D
It's funny, the lamps had a "$10" sticker on them and yet I got this one for 2 dollars.
I've also noticed them charge you a lower price than what's on the tag too.
Anyway.. It's weird that the old ignitor was still conected to the balast only by the middle wire, while the other ignitor (Which was a two wire ignitor) was connected.
If I unwire this I probably won't be able to put it back together. xD This is only labeled by numbers not by where they go. xD There was a wiring diagram but only a small piece was on and I took it off. (you can see it attached on this picture)
Also Jace said I scored with the ballast! This ballast is a more expensive but better regulator kind! It has three coils and Jace said that it can keep the lamp from cycling. Too bad it uses more wattage because of ballast lost. But he said these do last longer! This HAS been in service since the 1980's. And still works in 2011!
