Westinghouse OV-15 Tudor
Located in Chicopee, MA right of the mass pike at the intersection leading to the local Stop & Shop. I remember when I was younger, this road was nothing but these lights but are now rare to do road projects and replacement. All these fixtures are 250 watt HPS.

nice. i've never seen a Tudor in person. The OV15TD seems to be the less common of the OV15 and OV25 Tudors.

there are also OV-25 Tudors as well up in the city. South Hadley, MA was also big with the Tudors and Unistyles. I remember when I was 10 (1995) visiting my grandmother who lives there and seeing all the old school lighting, but now 90% of south hadley is now Durastars.

I don't think the Tudors made it up to Canada, I've yet to see one here. Nice find!

Oh, and 90% Durastars. Shocked Blah!

Tell me about it Joe! Rolling Eyes My grandmothers road used to have 100 watt MV Nema heads up until 2005 when they replaced them with 70 watt HPS Durastars.

I just wished my iPhone would take clearer pictures.

Luckily no one uses Duras here. Very Happy

South Hadley is the only town who currently uses them since they are also a Municipal Owned Utility. Holyoke used them on on road they redid about 15 years ago but about half have now been replaced with AEL 315's, M-250A2's and now some lousy LEDs.

I don't know how the cheesy fiberglass survived 15 harsh new england winters.
Antstar85   [Oct 11, 2011 at 12:10 AM]
Fiberglass does last a long time, just can't take an Impact to well.

won't live well near the ocean either. I think salt rots fiberglass. Neutral

we have OV-25 tudors here, mainly in parking lots though...recent replacements of signals wiped out the remaining ones on streets though...Gadsden,Alabama had plenty of OV-25 and OV-15 Tudors in addition to OV-25 Silverliners....recently discovered a patch of OV-25 Tudors on US 80 between Gladewater and Longview,Texas.

Sad at least it wasn't LED. was this not working or was it replaced out of the blue?
Antstar85   [Jan 29, 2013 at 08:23 PM]
Chicopee has not gone the way of the LED yet. I'm not sure why exactly this was changed since I don't go by this light very often since we don't serve this city but most likely the light was bad and ended up getting changed out.
