I've always wanted a BT-25 100w mercury lamp, but i don't have a fixture and ballast to run one so I wouldn't really need one yet.

Get the lamp first, then worry about getting a ballast....it worked for me Smile

Michael you can run 100w merc lamps on your 70w MH ballast with the ignitor removed...well you'll have to change the socket to mogul to use BT25s.

Is a medium based 100w merc the same lamp size as a 70w PMH medium base lamp? The only 70w PMH ballast i have is in a light on the deck and the lamp would need to be the same size or smaller to fit.

yes pretty much the same size...but there's a few mercs that's slightly bigger actually!

I now have EVEN more BT-25s than I did in this pic Shocked

I only have one BT-25 from Jace. xD It was surprise getting it, I got it with my NEMA head. I am glad the lamp came in good shape!

Now that I have three 100 watt MV fixtures I can light it up wherever I want.
