it wouldn't surprize me. Global warming is a natural process. If every person left earth the ice caps would still melt. 1000 years or so from now we'll be in another ice age. Then the caps will melt agin. People are turning a natural cycle into a money making scam.
Actually global warming is a mix of human and natural process. We just speed it up. Believing that all those cars and coal-burning plants have nothing to do with global warming would be acting close-minded, honestly...
The scary part is if we get to the point where we can't go back... There ARE green alternatives to cars and most pollution-emitting stuff, but oil companies prefer those brilliant inventions to stay forgotten, just to keep making money...
Hydrogen cars would probably be the greenest solution to petrol cars. Burnt hydrogen is... water! Electric cars seem to get popular, because there's a part that'll need to be replaced regularly, i.e. the battery. And operations involved in making an electric car battery aren't that green...
