excelent project niall....i thought of doing something like this with radioshack components..except they are overpriced there.

Thanks, there's a whole sale electronic place here, they have pretty good prices on this stuff (though its probable not economical for you to drive here Devonte) Laughing
Form109   [May 01, 2011 at 04:23 PM]
by any chance's niall have you heard of this place called A1 Electronics?

i figure it's pretty accessible to you since it's in the Toronto area though where i'm not sure.

I been to that place before, and they have a ton of stuff just lying around
(you'll have to see it yourself Razz )

I picked up some fuse lamps, a metal pull box and mogul socket when I was there.

There's quite a few electronic places in my area too, and there's always Active Surplus down in Toronto where my traffic light LEDs came from.

That's not it (though I'll have to go there some time after this) the place I got the stuff at is Sayle Electronics.

Cool, I've been there before too, but the places that Devonte and I listed sell some really odd stuff. Shocked

Update: I went to that A1 Electronics place a few weeks ago, they sure did have some strange stuff! I got a strange bar code scanner that was shaped like a cat. They didn't really have much lighting stuff though, I still am going to go to the surplus store soon with the FCO lenses and get a few (I somehow doubt they will run out any time soon).
joe_347V   [Jul 07, 2011 at 01:59 AM]
Cool, I'm guessing you got one of these scanners?

Anyways I'm pretty sure they won't run out of FCO lenses (besides who'd want two cases of them) and look around too I've found some pretty odd stuff in that store.
gailgrove   [Jul 07, 2011 at 07:19 PM]
Yeah I got one of those.
streetlight98   [Sep 01, 2011 at 01:30 PM]
