The M250R2 was actually using a 100 watt lamp here, I didn't want to dig out the correct lamp Laughing

gailgrove   [Mar 30, 2011 at 07:12 PM]

The NEMA tag is kind of small. Razz
GullWhiz   [Aug 06, 2011 at 04:14 AM]
Yes it's 1 x 1 instead of 3 x 3
streetlight98   [Aug 06, 2011 at 02:51 PM]
Yeah, I know that. Those are used on post tops and stuff. It looks like the old NEMA tag wore off or was taken off.
gailgrove   [Aug 07, 2011 at 08:44 PM]
I've always wondered why they put on that small tag.
GullWhiz   [Aug 17, 2011 at 04:25 PM]
By the way.... NOT INSANE ENOUGH!!!
gailgrove   [Aug 17, 2011 at 07:33 PM]
Fine, how about the time I lit a 1000, 400 and 100 watt HPS lamps at the same time!
GullWhiz   [Aug 17, 2011 at 07:38 PM]
Only 1500 watts?

Is it equal to or does it beat mine? Mine was roughly including the ballast losses over 3,000 WATTS!

I know someone who did a bit more though....using three 1000 watt MH and one 180 watt LPS......but I was using a lot more fixtures too! 16 fixtures man! So you are NOT insane...not even close!!!

At the rate you guys are going someone's going to need a service upgrade soon. Laughing
GullWhiz   [Aug 17, 2011 at 07:41 PM]
Not mine...our service is HIGH enough...
I wonder what Niall's max amp service is......
gailgrove   [Aug 17, 2011 at 07:45 PM]
I have a 100 amp service, though once I become an electrician I will for sure be upgrading it to 200 amps. And you just wait gull, I will beat you!
joe_347V   [Aug 17, 2011 at 07:50 PM]
I also have a 100A service, but for a sure win I recommend installing one of those 347/600V MTO Distribution Assemblies in your yard. Shocked
GullWhiz   [Aug 17, 2011 at 07:51 PM]
Actually in order to change your electrical breaker to change to 200 amps, you will need to be a LICENSED (which I even am not) and you will have to have the electrical company INVOLVED because they need to change the wires that connects the transformer also!!! So good luck....you can't just change it from 100 to 200 without making sure the wires that connects from house to the powerline or transformer is the correct size! It will also need county, state, or area inspection too if you are gonna do a huge upgrade!

I have a bigger service than that!
gailgrove   [Aug 17, 2011 at 07:57 PM]
Well here you can upgrade your own service, but it has to be inspected and approved before the utility company will reconnect your service. And I'm sure you do have a larger service than I do, my house is about 40 years old all new houses here get 200 amp services. @Joseph, yeah that would be better!
