These used to be everywhere in Pittsburgh.

Aww, look at the cute little remote ballast....

It's pretty big actually....I have a 100 watt MV remote ballast for posttops which is really small....

The isolation ballasts for the older streetlights in Pittsburgh were about as big as this one.

in my Area the Newer Remote Ballasts are Actually Boxes instead of Cylinders.

There's some fixtures here with what looks like a remote ballast can on the pole but I don't know if it's still in use or is disconnected.

I might be getting a few pole mount PC receptacles and a 90w Thomas & Betts LPS light from the same person who gave me the OV10. I don't know when. He's pretty busy doing work on some houses (he's a master electrician). He also has a mercury OV25 (yes, he has a small collection of lights and electrical stuff himself.) When i told him how old the OV10 was he was very shocked that something that old was up so long.

A LPS lume would be a GREAT FIND! Very Happy

Yeah, i thought so too. Very Happy I actually thought my OV10 was a LPS when it was in the box becasue he talked about it awhile a go, but when i talked to him last night at the Speedway (he plays the music from his computer software onto the tack speakers) he said it's in storage andhe has to find it first. He mentioned the lamp, but i don't know if he's going to put one in for me.
