My 1979 General Electric Powerflood!
Got this from member slz (Steve Zalimas) this past Friday. Check out his regularly-updated For Sale page here!

This has a 120/208/240/277V ballast. It's a typical 4-coil GE "regulator" ballast with the capacitor in series with the lamp. And like any 4-coil GE regulator I've seen, it's obnoxiously loud. 400W MV, wired for 120V. These guys are oddballs since to access the lamp, you remove four screws and life the BACK of the fixture off! (Note how the yoke mount is attached to what most would assume to be the door?) Everything except the PC socket is mounted to the stationary part of the fixture. There's no top to the reflector so to relamp, you just stick your hand in the top of the reflector.

Nice floodlight and interesting relamping process. The Wide-Lite F-series floods also had a interesting process, the socket was mounted in a metal "bell" on the bottom. To relamp you have to remove the bell with the lamp still attached and unscrew the lamp outside the fixture.

Thanks! The 90s and back American Electric flood lights were relamped from the top too. There was a round cover on top of the light that you unscrewed and removed and you relamped it through the hole in the top. Dave from Cali has a 1000W MH AE flood light like that. The westy floods were relamped from the top too, except the entire top cover came off. The first generation of this GE flood light was the same design as the Westy; top cover came off for relamping. Now the big three all just use a single screw at the top and a door that hinges down. Things have gotten boring now lol. (though easier to maintain!)
