GE 15 Watt Green Lit
Found this interesting GE green lamp at a Restore. From what the sleeve design and lack of an ordering code, this is probably from the 50s.

Nice! I see this one's a USA ones too. I love the simplistic etch of these. I love the CGE logo too though. Smile

Yeah, the 50s etch is a lot more cleaner than a modern etch with those (E) and (Hg) symbols on them Razz . This one is inside etched too and is probably my first inside etched lamps (seems the Canadian fluorescents were never inside etched) too. I didn't have to worry about cleaning the etch off this one. Laughing

Ah yeah inside etch is awesome! Wish they'd bring it back, but outside etch is probably less expensive.

Yeah, I'd imagine it cost a lot more compared to outside etch. Too bad they got rid of it though, at least GE was the last one to make inside etched lamps.

Very cool, I found some Westinghouse F15T8/G lamps some years back. I've never been real big into fluorescent tubes but have a few.

Green fluorescents are absurdly bright and painful to look at...but at the same time, very cool!

It looks painfully bright even on my computer screen lol. I've never seen colored fluorescents lit in person except BLB and grow lamps if you count those since they're colors other than the standard white-range lamps.
