Nice addition! I see it's the current generation. Razz Geeze it has the newer style NEMA tag font too. I wonder when they started using that font? I though they didn't start using it until 2006 or 7. I know they started using it sometime between 2001 and 2004 now.

Can you post a side shot? Does it have a PC socket?

BTW, you can use this powr/module with your light so you can use HPS or MV by simply unplugging the door, plugging in the other one, and swapping the lamps! That's really cheap for a powr/door too since they're typically near 100 bucks when new.

Thanks. I got it on ebay for about $100. The picture the seller has on ebay is the older model. So I was a bit surprised when I opened the box. Also because the glass refractor was shattered. The seller sent me a new refractor for free. I tried making a claim with FedEx, but it would have been a long process and they ended up telling me they don't do anything with glass Confused
Not too sure about the NEMA tag though.

Nice light! Probably one of the last merc streetlights made. Cool to see that everything worked out with the seller too .

Nice fixture! Cool
streetlight98   [Sep 22, 2013 at 09:59 PM]
They made MV fixture up to 2008 so this was long before the ban. I'm sure the demand for MV fixtures dropped dramatically by the mid 2000s or maybe it spiked up when people caught wind that that there was an upcomming ban?

I know Duquesne Light didn't install many mercury vapor street lights after 2000 and in 2005, they were mostly installing high pressure sodium replacements and in 2006, they stopped installing mercury vapor street lights and started changing their lighting to high pressure sodium but continued to maintain existing mercury vapor street lights until 2010.

I'm not sure when exactly did the GTA stop installing mercs, it could be as early as the late 70s-early 80s though. The existing mercs were changed out in the early 90s.
streetlight98   [Sep 23, 2013 at 02:54 AM]
the last mercs were Thomas & Betts 100W MV 113s installed up until the mid 90s. The first HPS lights started popping up in considerable numbers in the 80s and then in the early 90s the massive changeover began.

It seems the last mercs here were Powerlite B2227s. I've heard rumours of HPS (in M-400As?) being installed on Bloor St. in Toronto as early as 1968 but most of the early HPS lights here are Unidor 150/400, B2227/2255, and OV 15/25.
