RESTORE FIND: Philips F15T12 Lamp (very cool end caps!)
No clue how old this is. Date code is 1H if that helps anyone. I don't have a fixture for it. The reasons i got it was becuase of the cool endcaps, i thought it could be vintage, it looks unused or very lightly used, and it was only a quarter so how could i pass it up?!

Cool! Thanks for dating it! I was thinking it was an 80s lamp though LOL. Laughing Wasn't Philips Norelco at that time though?

Used to have one of these about 10 years ago, sadly i think i threw it away because the caps were loose, back then i used to think mercury would leak out with loose caps Neutral

Aww man! I used to think like that lol. It's killing me to not test this lamp but i don't have a fixture and don't feel like dimantiling my 20W closet light or moving all the boxes out of the way to get to the box where i keep the spare chokes you gave me. Laughing I think I'm going to test it soon though...

Nice find, this is one of the first Mexican made Philips F15T12s to be sold here, previously they were made in the USA. Norelco, by the way wasn't used on lighting products after 1984.

Made in Mexico eh? Is that a bad thing? Laughing Were these endcaps a short-lived thing? I've never seen this style endcap before except for a pair or F20T12s in one of my grandpa's dipaly cases for his cars.

these mexican fluorescents were pretty good, they were made from the early 90s until 2004 at least for export to the USA. these style end caps are the european philips style opposed to the angled ones. by the way the very first ones from '91 did not have the country of origin marked but still had the symbol for the monterrey, mexico plant.

Yeah this one doesn't have the country of origin on it. BTW, it works. I tested it on a TS ballast after supper.

I've noticed that Sylvania's T5 even though they're made in Mexico are pretty good and are better than GE's and possibly Philips's T5s.
