Nope. I am sure the other end is the same style As seen here.

I'd guess this would be designed to eliminate the dark spot effect when strips are continuous row mounted along a wall. I'd think using a "staggered" strip light fixture would be a better alternative. That's what I see used everywhere in that application...

Interesting, I've only see the staggered strips in use here.
