Thats not a bad price still. Nice light, you,r looking more like me I think I might have the AEL bug I just recieved A second 315 today but instead of a CA ballast and 4 bolt mounting it has two bolt mounting and a RN ballast 120 volt unlike my other wich is MT1.
Me too although I am still partial to GE, but AEL's look good and there affordable. shoot I have so many I have a hard time deciding on wich one to put on my pole. I think the one I'll put up next is going to be a 315 with iether sag or acrylic lens. It drives me crazy.
I like GE slightly more than AEL, but AEL is much easier and much more affordable to order from. Plus AEL has many more options available to "spice up" your light and make it somewhat unique from the average choke ballast and plastic lens.
I prefer GE more like Mike and George but I also like the fact that AEL offers a lot more options for their lights (like how GE dosen't make lights in a bare finish).
GE probably doesn't do that becuase there's not a large enough demand for them I'd guess. If you contact then I'm sure they'd make you a light without paint. Just like if you contact them they can paint it a color other than gray or brown if you ask them to.
