How common are 200w HPS lights out there?

I'm not aware of any communities that use 200w HPS around here. It's always either 150 or 250.

West Penn Power uses 200 watt high pressure sodium street lights throughout their area.

I've never seen a 200W HPS used around here. It's strictly 50, 100, 250, and 400W HPS for new installations. 150W T&B 113 FCOs were used in the 90s by Narragansett Electric but they're replaced by 100W HPS (or oddly enough 250W HPS!) lights as they fail. There are a large number of 70W HPS lights too, mostly FCO M-250R2s, but they're still serviced. Probably since there are so many of them and it's rather impractical to change out around 1,000 or so lights to 50W HPS instead of relamping them. Since 150W HPS lights are only present is VERY small amounts, they're not mantained. I've only seen 100, 175, 400, and 1000W MV lights here too (1000W being only floods). I've never seen a 250W MV light here.

Neat, we have some 200w HPS lights on our main roads but I don't think we install 200w anymore since most new lights are 250w instead.

I think 200w HPS is more of a California thing, they are rare in much of the midwest and the east coast. I saw some in Florida though.

The area I live in is FULL of 200Ws! They're even more common than 400W! Most boulevards that used to be 400W MV are now 200W HPS.

FPL uses 200 watt HPS luminaires a lot here in Fort Myers, FL.
