Exit 8 Lighting on I-295
The davit poles are replacments for the truss poles that were unsalvageable from car crashes. More than half are davits, since RI has some of the worst drivers in New England according to my aunt and uncle who recently moved up north from Georgia lol.

There's a section of the 401 here with a mix of tapered e arms and truss arms, also there's at least 5-6 different types of cobras up too. The trusses are original and the tapered es are replacements. GTA drivers aren't very good either. Laughing

Funny thing is that they still use truss arms for spot replacement in other areas so why not here? I also forgot to block out the car's license plate. Embarrassed Oh well, I guess you know what an RI plate looks like now lol.

The MTO randomly used trusses for this new install but most new installs and spot replacements in last 20 years use tapered e arms.
