100w bulbs made in the USA in 2012? YUP!!!
These Newcandescent bulbs made the news buzz lately for being exempt from the incandescent ban, because they fall under the category of "rough service". Well I now have some, I bought a lot of 15 bulbs on the bay (minimum order). They are very nice bulbs, although a little on the dim side. They are USA made too, but not at the Mullins, SC plant. Rather they look like they were made by Trojan, Inc in Meadville, PA or maybe Newcandescent bought some of the Trojan machines and make them themselves...

nice find! I was suprised how fast the 100w lamps vanished from the shelves considering not many people knew about the phase-out.

Cool! I wonder if bulb companies will start making more specialty bulbs to get past the bans.

It's said that in Europe, rough service bulbs have partially taken over the general service incandescent market in addition to halogens.
