Looks like an induction lamp in there to me.
Its not that bad looking of a fixture

I have seen these up in a prking lot in West Springfield. They replaced a bunch of Westy OV-50's.

Yep these are induction. To be honest, this guy doesn't look half as bad as some of the funky looking lights out there. i'd take this over a DuraStar...

Closest match I can find is the EverLast "Daytona". Likely the 200 or 250 watt model judging by the (...)

This light isn't too bad, I would pick it over an LED streetlight anyday.

I think they are somewhat better than LED as they may not fail as early, but I especially dislike them when they change out HID poles with them. (except Durastars).
