My two M-1000's before being taken down from the pole,
Here they are before they were taken down, as you see the one on the right is cut off already cause that is the first one I got. xD

So I saved all three from getting trashed. I still wonder why these two didn't have the original ballast but the first one did.

The ballasts in the other two may have crapped out or maybe the caps did. I noticed in parking lots, the contractors who service them tend to replace the ballast over replacing the fixture.
gailgrove   [Feb 12, 2012 at 11:52 PM]
Yeah, that often happens, I prefer seeing the fixture repaired (obviously).
streetlight98   [Feb 12, 2012 at 11:54 PM]
Me too. But the way some contractors fix lights makes me want to throw up sometimes. Confused

Yeah this Powerlite was also reballasted at one point so I guess it's fairly common in parking lots. I also prefer seeing the fixture repaired.

It's funny they also repainted them, but the first one I got wasn't repainted at all.

And it looks like they painted them with a brush, not spraypaint. O.o

Hey Ian, do you have a streetview of the lot, I wonder how it looked prior to demolition.
LilCinnamon   [Feb 13, 2012 at 01:18 AM]
HERE is what it looked like before.

Hmm, so there where three poles, possibly one more in the past. It looks like that road must of been put through the lot after the the parking lot was built, it is strange how four of the M1000s seem to light the road now. I'm guessing that there was one more pole at one point and it seems two poles are missing an arm each.
joe_347V   [Feb 13, 2012 at 01:31 AM]
Yeah it does look like the road was put in after the parking lot was built, you can see that the lines for the parking spaces suggest the lot was originally square.

I guess his M-1000 came from a pole with a missing arm, you could see the hole where another arm used to be in the pic.

Oh and since the M-1000s are gone what's lighting the road now?
gailgrove   [Feb 13, 2012 at 01:35 AM]
I guess this, I wonder if this is a public road or not, seems confusing... Confused

The road is road that goes around Colorado Mills, and that mall was built recently. They buried some high voltage power lines because they were building the mall.

The mall was built probably in 2003 maybe? Its a very new mall. So yes the parking lot was there BEFORE the road. And the entire mall. Now they are demolishing the whole building, that used to be a car dealership that got closed down a long time ago. They are gonna build some shopping center there and add some stores next to the mall.
