Yeah I have a few of those....cram lamps.....(which means high wattage arc tube inside lower wattage lamp shape!) They have existed since the 80s!

I have a couple of this style cram lamps, a older GE that is partially leaked and a new Philips alto.

The only cram lamp I have is a 400 watt MH ED-28 lamp. I got it at home depot and man it was EXPENSIVE!

They also make cram 400 watt MV lamps, but those are only the cheap china ones by Plusrite.

I have seen lamps like this 150 watt one at the ACE hardware store I get my cords. Speaking I need some more.. xD

I DO have a 70 watt lamp this size that came with my yardblaster (that is hanging outside but now converted to mogul base)

I have also seen a 70w HPS lamp inside of a ED-28 bulb (oversized bulb)

I used to have the following cram lamps:
-400w merc
-320w PSMH
-70w HPS
-70w clear PSMH*
-70w coated PSMH*

The ones marked with a * are ones I still have.

What happened to your 400 watt MV lamp Michael?

Remember when i melted my Formed Plastics lens? I actually still have the lamp, but the outer glass is chipped from trying to remove the melted on acrylic, so I've never lit it since. It's wrapped up in paper towels, in a ziploc bag, and on a shelve in the back of the garage. The full-sized sylvania merc is my THIRD 400w mercury lamp and has lasted longer then the other two 400w mercury lamps combined. The first lamp I had lasted about 3 minutes lol.

I also have a 175w MH cram lamp and this 50w HPS anti-cram lamp.
