More from the open house tour, the basement rec room was lit by recessed 8' slimline strips. Many of the rooms had fluorescent lighting, and the tubes were quite old and end-blackened....couldn't get good photos with my cell phone camera so this photo from the MLS listing.

Looks like they either never updated it or the realtor brought in vintage furniture. It looks like it's straight from the 60s. Shocked

I like the look of the homemade "troffers". Razz

I love the fluorescent fixtures. Also really think the 60s look is cool, though if I were to buy the house I'd be bringing it into the 21st century with new furniture, flooring, curtains, etc. Razz

I'd keep the decor since it's like new...I wonder what the lamps were/are?
