I recall passing by these (or similar ones) every other day when I was working for a HVAC company on a project in San Diego. The ones I saw were just west of the 15 freeway near a hotel/inn if I remember.

I'd like to check out the Sam's Club/Harbor Freight parking lot in nearby Murrieta again. I was there two months ago and there was one LPS fixture that was flashing on and off like a preheat fluorescent lamp with a bad starter.

35 and 55W LPS can be used on the same ballast?

Yeah, I believe it's the only two LPS wattages that use the same ballast.

Ah so like 40 and 50W MV? (though I think it's one lamp that runs on two ballasts in that case).
