3M Pedestrian Signal
Here's a odd ped signal with regular incandescent LFE top section paired with a 3M bottom section. The 3M was burnt out in these pics but you can still see the US walk man that it uses instead of the Canadian long stride man.

This got relamped the last time I saw it and both sections still sport incandescent lamps. Cool

Hmm odd but interesting. I don't see why this is at all necessary though. If they needed a PV you'd think the whole thing would be PV (like at one of intersections that has a cross walk going diagonally across in addition to the standard "box" shape of the four crosswalks.

Yeah, I don't know why they needed a PV there too, here's the intersection and as you can see it's more or less just a regular intersection.

Update: this got replaced sometime between summer 2015 and summer 2016. My guess is either they ran out of 3M bulbs or realized it was still incandescent. Laughing Anyway it's replacement is a Fortran.

I can't think of why and what made them decide to use one of those in the firstplace, I think it looked really tacky lol. For once I don't mind a Fortran replacing something Laughing

Yeah the mixed 3M and LFE is even more weird looking than the mixed Durasig and Fortran pedestrian signals that York Region uses. I wonder if they were too cheap to just use a full 3M ped. Laughing
