Hmm a special metal halide / LED version Laughing I guess there was a LED fixture on display in that spot, they must have put the sticker for the Heath Zenith metal halide over it.

LOL that's funny! Laughing

This could also mean you can put a retrofit LED lamp inside... Question (as you can do with most fixtures, of course...)
The LED sticker could make this MH fixture being sold better Smile

I guess LED is technically correct if it stood for Light Emitting Device Laughing . Yeah, I have a feeling the employees didn't know the difference between LED and MH. There was also a fluorescent fixture labeled LED there too.

What store is this at?
joe_347V   [Apr 15, 2017 at 05:49 PM]
Home Depot Laughing

You can tell by the price tags.
ZarlogH46   [Apr 16, 2017 at 12:11 AM]
LOL true. My home depot has 50w metal halide wall packs. I really want one but I am not going to plunk down $80 for a light that probably isn't even worth $35 in terms of build quality. My home depot doesn't have these bucket lights though.
streetlight98   [Apr 16, 2017 at 12:44 AM]
Yeah don't do it. Get yourself a 50W MH 115 instead. Razz Cool
ZarlogH46   [Apr 16, 2017 at 02:06 AM]
They don't have it listed as being available in 50w though. (But then again 320w PSMH is an option even though it isn't listed).
streetlight98   [Apr 16, 2017 at 03:11 AM]
320W PSMH is listed, for the 125. The 115 is a 250W max fixture. You could probably buy a ballast-less 115. I wonder how much cheaper that would be than one with a ballast.
ZarlogH46   [Apr 16, 2017 at 12:56 PM]
I wonder if it actually would be possible to order a ballast-less 115 or GE M250R2. I might just do that and stick a mercury vapor ballast in it.
joe_347V   [Apr 16, 2017 at 08:27 PM]
I'm not sure if it is still possible but AE used to have a ballastless option for their lights. They were listed as incandescent fixtures and were mostly designed for replacing damaged clamshells.

Hmm... I might have to email them and ask if that is a possibility. It would probably be cheaper plus it would make a good remote ballast setup.
