Vintage F15T8 Fluorescent Tubes
These are the two fluorescent bulbs that came in my vintage fluorescent desk lamp. The unit itself is from the 50s or early 60s. The GE-Mazda bulb in the back appears to be a bit older; it may even be original to the unit. It's simply labeled as a "white" bulb. The GE soft white bulb in the front appears to be a newer bulb (maybe an 80s/90s replacement?). Both bulbs still work great!

Also, if anyone wants to see these lamps in action, I've got a video of the whole fixture up:

Sweet! Cool I'd personally keep the mazda lamp in safe keeping like on display or something instead of in regular use though. Since it still works, it's worth more.

Yeah, I was wondering about whether I should actually use the Mazda bulb or not. I'll probably replace both lamps in this unit with something newer before any long-term use. That way these two vintage bulbs will be preserved! Very Happy

the ge soft white is from '69 so still not that new, but the ge mazda is a classic all the way from '43! by the way the 'white' lamp is 3500K, in between the warm white and cool white.

Wow, these are some old lamps! Very Happy Both are significantly older than I thought! Thanks for clearing up what the "white" color temperature is. Smile

Nice lamps! I would also replace them with a modern pair if you're going to use them a lot.

be careful with the mazda, it contains zinc beryllium silicate phosphors, they are toxic and was banned in june '49.

I'll definitely be careful with it then!
