The reflector doesn't look FCO. No grey paint.

i love how your camera is rendering the HPS color from orange to almost Incandescent like...if Sodium Actually glowed this color id happily use it! Laughing Laughing

hmmmmm Sodium Vapor glows orange when ionized no?...i've never heard of a HPS Lamp glowing golden like that except for White SON Lamps.

The ALTOs are a yellow when they are lit, my guess is the mercury makes them deeper yellow/orange.

I have noticed when the power company changes a light bulb, the newer lamps aren't as pink/orange but more of a yellow/orange.

I've noticed that HPS lamps do get more orange towards the end of their life, and that new ones are pretty yellow.

I always wondered why some HPS lamps start out like a mercury vapor color and gradually shift to yellow as they warm up? Others are yellow from the start.
I was watching several HPS fixtures cycle at my work and there were both types.

I like the ones that look like MV when starting, I noticed that the older HPS tend to look like MV and the newer ones seem to turn yellow faster.

Less mercury is probably it. I noticed the older the lamp is, the longer it's greenish-blue. I guess with age, the color shifts from usage of its chemicals, etc.
