Tops of the Model 25 FCO's.
Here are the top views. As you can see LOTS Of differences here too. Like the photocell socket, the back bumps, and more.

Also the OLDER ITT has the "Level" and "Level" in the shape of a "T". The other one just has a cross.

Why is that?

And there are three screw bumps on the Heat sink on the older and only two on the newer.

Three bumps on the newer in the slipfitter area and only two bumps on the older.

They removed the word level cuz nobody EVER reads it...LOL plus it uses more metal to make this stuff

The B2255 also has the word level on the top. The later R47 doesn't.

My M-400 just has a flat circle inprinted on top for a leveling pad.

As you can tell in this picture the newer model 25 has a more rounded top housing while the older has a more sharp edge housing.

Why did they change that?
GullWhiz   [Nov 15, 2011 at 01:04 PM]
Rounded uses less materials....imagin carving the edges to make it more rounded

i give these two thumbs up oh by the wat is the crouse hinds ovm larger than these or are they the same size?
LilCinnamon   [Mar 01, 2012 at 05:51 PM]
The OVM is way larger, the OVM is three feet long while the Model 25 is less than that. The OVM is the same length as the OV-25, just fatter making the OVM a huge size compared to other medium cobraheads.
Truckersboy2010   [Mar 01, 2012 at 06:19 PM]
dang yea they look huge even in the air lol but i was never to shure of the comparisons to the american electric modle 25 and that westing house is one long light lol

Ian have you ever measured your model 25? It should be three feet. Confused @Truckersboy2010 welcome to GoL! You can see my collection here!
LilCinnamon   [Mar 01, 2012 at 07:25 PM]
What is the length of the OV-25? Cause mine is longer than the model 25 or M-400's.
gailgrove   [Mar 01, 2012 at 07:27 PM]
It is three feet exactly, at least the Westinghouse Canada model is, I would assume the American one is as well. You could easily measure them. Wink
