I see some sign floods too and some signs with the FHWA EM font instead of Clearview.

what is FHWA EM Font?.....it looks like a clearview sign to me...and its certainly not button copy.

The FHWA EM Font is the font that the left and the centre signs use.
The sign on the right does use Clearview (or at least the street name).

We don't use Clearview. We use the regular font like theleft two signs signs.

Ontario uses FHWA EM but some test signs in Clearview have popped up on the QEW and the 401.
Some of the old signs that were replaced for the Clearview trial were roughly two years old.

RIDOT just replaced all of the big green signs over the summer with FHWA E font. New poles for the big signs too.

MTO replaced some of the old "Type 1" gantries (
the rounded ones
) with some new gantries changing the old signs in the process too this summer.
I've seen some cantilevered supports (the half gantries) go up during the last two years along with some signs using the FHWA E font instead of EM.
