Beautiful fixture! If I was there in person I'd be tempted to make you an offer on that thing... Laughing
Nice save! I see a westy blackender and what looks like a GE Mainlighter and a Sylvania lamp, what is the other one?
And is that a vintage car in the background? Looks like you don't drive it often; looks like the hood is extra shelf space! Laughing I think I see some Lifeline endcaps?
And are you permanently wiring it with Romex? I think it's fine, just curious...

looks like the first and third from the left are both GEs from the endcaps. i agree. what a beautie! aren't four lamp preheaters a bit rare?

Nice, that reflector looks huge to. I wouldn't been surprised if they had a longer version for T17 lamps with the same reflector style.

yeah the reflector looks to be about the width of my grandpa's T17 louvered industrial fixture. I wonder if three and four lamp T17 fixtures were made. I bet a four lamper would be HEAVY!!!

With those ballasts? No kidding!

even just an empty fixture would way a ton from back then given at how sturdy fixtures were back in the 40s.

Yeah, with the thick porcealin-coated metal...

I find even fixtures made in the 90s were a lot sturdier than fixtures made now. But yeah those 40s and 50s era fixtures should be almost indestructible. Also those T17 ballasts should be a good 20 lbs or more. They're roughly the same size as a modern VHO ballast.

Nice fixture! Must be pretty epic to see four bulbs go through the preheat cycle at once! Cool
