Jersey Series Icetrons! Yes it was THIS GOOD!
Here's a scene of those Jersey Icetrons I took a picture of last summer in July!

They were just near New York city. And yes I swear those lit so well! From all the Icetrons that I saw lit that day..(a lot of them) only two of them were out.

I think it's beautiful!

These look a LOT better than the LED streetlights that are used here.

What colour temperature? 6500K?

Induction makes more sense than LED's for streetlighting.

Alain, between 4000K to 5000K temp. They were very close to a MV color as a brand new /DX color!

This is what I saw in Brea, a diffused, cool white light on the street

Diffused is a good thing...more even out lighting distribution.....This is why a FCO fixture SHOULD have a coated lamp...not clear...UNLESS the glass was diffused....but no...people and utilities uses a FCO with clear lamp...making bad lighting distribution!

So a good lighting design is...using a refractor, you either use a clear or coated lamp...but with FCO...you need diffused glass OR a coated lamp...

In matter of fact on my GE M-100 open bottom label AND on the catalogs of those open bottom fixtures both Westinghouse and GE specifies to use a COATED lamp!

I could compare two 400 watt FCO fixtures distributions one with one of my clear lamps and one with my Phillips coated lamp.. Add compare them. I bet the coated lamp would be better.

At least GE is making diffused HPS lamps. I wish that those would be used more often here.
