Inside the 1985 M-250R2 Like brand new! Still lookin' good after 30 years! The paint on top is all gone but the paint on the inside is still there. It's got a flawless metallic NEMA tag. I like the ribbing too that most of the 80s GEs had. No complaints at all, and I'd even argue that this is better built than my 70s and 80s M-250R1s! I've noticed that this light puts out a lot of heat compared to a 50W light. I can run my 50W HPS lights for hours and they just get warm but this actually gets pretty hot after a while. Yeah it's in great shape! In fact, it's installed on my shed in place of the M-250A and is running dusk-to-dawn Monday and Tuesday night while my parents are away. The M-250R is also running all night. I'm leaving them plugged in until Wednesday when I get off work so they'll get to be switched off by their PCs. I'm curious if they'll shut off before I leave at 5:40AM for work. The M-250R might but I'm unsure about the M-250R2 since its 1989 Ripley phohotcell is very insensitive (same PC that was on the M-250A when it was out there).
