Finally being taken down!!!
It was not until RECENTLY they are starting to take down the high masts (it seems the only ones they are taking down is the one's in Howard County while the ones outside of Howard County is still being serviced!) You can see this mast is the exact same one as seen right here...

Not all has been lowered and removed yet, some got lowered and removed, some just got lowered...some are still up....I saw one that was still up (skipping one pole) and I saw paint on the pole saying "Broken" with an X on it....which apparently it won't go down....

I wonder why they would replace highmasts with Cobraheads.
GullWhiz   [Nov 25, 2011 at 04:37 AM]
I believe less light trespass since there's actually homes around......although I wish they didn't go from MH to HPS....could have at least used MH in cobraheads......I know an intersection on I-95 when the cobraheads are actually MH!!!!

Eh. I don't really liek highmasts. too much light trespass. That's why they're beign phased out here too.

Rolling Eyes Qiut makign fun of my spelign! Razz Laughing Speaking of highmasts, the ones in Downtown have all been relamped! Very Happy Some of those have been out since i was a little toddler. I rember looking up at those "tall street lights" all the time and see them cycling.

In here we still have new high masts being installed though...but sadly they are HPS instead of MH....

I don't think we ever had MH highmasts here except in parking lots.
