Good Exit Sign Lamps The local TrueValue has a few boxes of these. I got this ten-pack of 15W T6 incandescent lamps for less than $2 yesterday. I figured these would make decent exit sign lamps and was correct. My exit sign is fairly bright with these, but not as bright as with the 9W PL retrofit kit installed, which is what's installed. You can see the lamp is a little tanned around the filament area. They were all like that but I assume it was just from factory testing. Keywords: Lamps

There should be 145 Volts version similar to this construction out there for these Exit sign, Mike.

As for the tanned part, I guess it is the vacuum coated with Triphosphorus pentanitride to clean up remaining residue.

Yeah these aren't real exit sign lamps but they'd be fine for me. If I knew the entire box was less than $2 I would have bought a second box.

Yeah the only difference these have compared to real exit sign lamps is that exit sign lamps are rated for 145v. I suppose these will also burn a bit brighter too. You also got a great deal on them. I remember paying $2 per LAMP when I bought exit sign lamps a few years back. Shocked

Yeah they were actually selling these as individual lamps but there were closed boxes too so I took a full box instead of buying individual lamps. The receipt DID say 10PK though.
