Is that one of the old style sectional Polefab poles?
Hanging Light   [Aug 20, 2013 at 04:06 PM]
Yea but you can't see the bottom because its underground.

It's probably a direct bury version, Brampton has some of them still in use. I don't think they're still made though.
Hanging Light   [Aug 21, 2013 at 12:40 PM]
They are direct bury iv'e never seen the bottom unless they are out of the ground. They aren't made anymore because the ones that get replaced are concrete poles instead. We have a lot of them still, except these are the only ones left with the shorter e arms.

Bad news: fat chance for this retro light being transferred over to the new hydro pole. Good news, doesn't look like they are reconstructing this part of the road for a few years. Bad news: it could be replaced by the maintenance contractor, just like the one on the truss arm you got right before it was OVX'ed.
Hanging Light   [Aug 22, 2013 at 09:41 PM]
I think it could be possible because they moved a OVX 115 and OVZ onto a new arm on the opposite side. If it gets OVX'd then I don't care if they get rid of that pole. Laughing No its started the new wooden poles are coming up at Orenda east and Dixie even some of the floodlights got moved to those poles. The trees were also cut down for more room.

lol... crappy direct burial polefab pole. It's hard to realize what exactly is happening south of the tracks regarding streetlighting, but my theory remains that all those reused lumes now mounted on temp wood poles or hydro poles are all going to be scrapped. Whaaa, I didn't know they're widening dixie north of the rail tracks already. There are floodlights o_O? I wonder if they're widening up to Clark Blvd. This stretch of Dixie is certainly aged as it is now!

Yea I want to get the Unidoor 400, Some of the Model 25's and a 8-8-8. Well the temporarys are pretty much all OVX's and a R47 so far. The floodlights closest to the road have been moved onto wooden poles. http://goo.gl/maps/FkHAP All those trees between that parking lot and teh Road are cut down and work has begun its course. The lights there have been a Mix of FCO AE 125's and the old lights on the other side.

interestingly, in your link one of the ped signals only has one section whereas all the others have two sections.
Hanging Light   [Aug 23, 2013 at 02:24 PM]
Yea that was actually more recent. It was one of the square Durasigs. These have been here since the incandescent era.
m@   [Aug 23, 2013 at 09:39 PM]
thanks. Note how small concrete pads for the signal poles used to be in hangin' light's google image link. And you know they're widening a road big time if those far off private property flood lights are relocated by the public road contractor!

This is one of the only two old polefabs that have been left alone. How much longer they will be around is unclear
Model25FanForever   [Mar 09, 2016 at 04:09 PM]
This light is surrounded by new sidewalk, wall, and fencing. The sidewalk is elevated higher now and seperates from the road. I actually wonder if this Model 25 is going to be spared.
Model25FanForever   [Jun 21, 2016 at 03:01 AM]
UPDATE: Every old light fixture was removed

Sad and that model 25 has been in question of so long. Oh well another one bites the dust. Replaced with a OVF's of equal wattage and mount height.
