I wonder how much longer until one of them falls off the pole. Would cool to see the inside of these, also wonder if they're HPS or old enough to be MV.
Im going to guess HPS. The B2255's behind the building are still MV. One of the lens are popped out of one and the bulb in it too. 3 of them still light at night. Il try and get a photo soon. The B2255's are here
It looks like the top bolt of the two bolts holing the arms to the pole fell out, so they're hanging by the bottom bolt and turned upside down. They'll probably remain on the pole as long as the other bolt doesn't come loose. Almost looks low enough to stand a ladder in the back of a pick-up and get them lol. Looks like a busy road though.
It's a good thing they used two bolts, It's somewhat common here for the lineman to use steel strapping instead of a bottom bolt. Yeah it's on a pretty busy road so I imagine getting them would be hard.
Didn't know there were B2255s behind the building though, kinda neat that they're still MV.
Makes sense that they'd do that since it's a little risky drilling holes in concrete poles (I assume the ones for the thru-bolts are from the factory?). Around here on the wood poles, it's common to see mounting arms secured with only one lag bolt in addition to the thru-bolt or sometimes no lag bolts at all!
