Nice! was the lamp it came with an ecolux or a standard lucalox lamp? (or do they not mke the full Hg lucalox lamps any more?)
Mercuryvapor123   [Sep 11, 2013 at 12:53 AM]
I'm not shure the box is label sais LUCALOX but the lamp has that green ring around the tip,.Ok I just ran down to check it is an Hg LUCAOX lamp.
streetlight98   [Sep 11, 2013 at 02:18 AM]
Hmm the green tip sounds like it's an ecolux lamp. Interesting that the lamp doesn't have EcoLux on it at all. maybe they only mark their fluorescents ecolux?
Mercuryvapor123   [Sep 11, 2013 at 03:44 AM]
well later I noticed that the lamp was marked ECO it was made in Hungary so its marked Hg LUCALOX and then ECO.

Hmm, I didn't know GE made green tipped HPS lamps too.
streetlight98   [Sep 11, 2013 at 11:01 AM]
i guess they sorta copied Philips? lol does the lamp have the regular GE crown ring to attach the arc tube support to the dimple on the lamp?
Mercuryvapor123   [Sep 11, 2013 at 11:51 AM]
I'm not shure I'll compare, Oh I believ th Hg marking on lamps means it contains mercury so its odd to be marked Hg and then ECO?
joe_347V   [Sep 11, 2013 at 04:23 PM]
Yeah (Hg) means the lamp contains mercury and ECO means either reduced mercury or no mercury. ECO isn't standardized like how (Hg) so it can vary among companies.

Ahh I see, Thanks for the info.
streetlight98   [Sep 11, 2013 at 07:39 PM]
yeah different companys use different amounts of mercury. I think Philips uses the least... all of GE's information such as mercury content, etc is on their website. the others don't seem to have it on their site but i'm sure the info is available.
